Device Types
Different devices have different options and abilities. In the application this means that the interface for each device will adapt showing only the relevant features for each case.
The interfaces you’ll most likely find in the application:
Measurement
Shows real-time information about the device Instant Readings, an optional gauge indicating its progress along the device normal operation range, Scheduler and Reporting.
The image bellow shows the device in view/edit mode:
After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Measurement with Control
Measurement with Control shows real-time information about the device Instant Readings, an optional gauge indicating its progress along the device normal operation range, state control (on/off), Scheduler and Reporting.
The image bellow shows the device in view/edit mode:
After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Status
Status is a simple interface for devices like motion detectors, where the reading is either true or false, that is, ON or OFF.
The image bellow shows the device in view/edit mode:
After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Set point
Set point devices work within a given operation range, allowing the user to set a desired operation value in that interval.
Taking as example an Air Conditioner equipment, this means you can have a operation range from 10°C to 30ºC, and a user set temperature of 22ºC.

Set point with Status and Dropdown
Set point devices work within a given operation range, allowing the user to set a desired operation value in that interval.
This type of device allows the user to select a value from several choices with a dropdown button.

Tristate Control
This interface allows three distinct control commands to be passed to the device. This is frequently used by devices like gates, blinds or curtains.

After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Percent Control
This kind of interface allows you to control devices with percent based parameters. This includes light dimmers, curtains, gates, etc.
The devices can be controlled with precise adjustments by sliding the percent controller.

After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Tristate Percent Control
Percent Control Device Percent Control device in list (left) and view (right) modes.
This kind of interface allows you to control devices with percent based parameters. This includes light dimmers, curtains, gates, etc.
The devices can be controlled with precise adjustments by sliding the percent controller, or with the direct action control (Open, Close, Turn On, Turn Off).
RGB Control
RGB Control controls devices capable of outputting colors, usually LED based lighting systems.

After entering this section the user has the possibility to view and modify all the device information.
Device Report
Devices with logging capabilities will be able to generate a activity Report when in View Mode. Not to confuse with Control Center Reports, where this devices can also be included, this is a dedicated Report available everytime you open the Device View mode.
- Range - Sets the time period to be analyzed in the report.
- Chart Resolution - Sets the minimum data point for your report.
- Unit Reading - Unit to be shown in the Report.
Virtual Devices
Up to this point every device is essentialy a digital representation of actual devices in your system. The following Device Types are what we call Virtual Devices. They can be a combination of regular devices or devices in which the information presented is read from external feeds and not generated by the system.
Composite Devices
Combines a set of related devices in a single Control Center object.
Devices part of Composite will be hidden from the Control Center but still have individual readings and controls within the Composite interface. This can be reverted at any time.
Group Devices
Similar to Composite Devices, they group together multiple devices in a shared interface.
The purpose of this virtual device is slightly different though. A Group Device behaves as a single object, meaning that every given command will act accordingly in every device part of that group.
This also means that every device part of that group has to share a common interface. Hence a Group Device can only accept Measurement devices (if they have On/Off control) and Set point devices. This will validated during the Group Device creation process.
Dashboard Devices
Sometimes you may need to combine a device Control Panel with the convenience of a Dashboard. Dashboard Devices allows you just that. Once created, a Dashboard Device can receive instances of any Widget type available in your system.
Webcam Devices
Connects to a webcam feed service, presenting a live feed in View Mode. The quality and refresh rate depends exclusively on the type of feed provided in this device configuration.
Please note that features mentioned above may or may not be part of your system, depending on its configuration. For more information please contact your service provider.
