Creating notifications

Notifications can be activated on specific devices, rules or just to know the status of the associated gateway on that system

To add notifications, follow these steps:

Step 1

Select the device on “Control Center” or the gateway on system settings. In this guide we’ll select a temperature device.

Step 2

On “DEVICE RANGE SETTINGS AND ALERTS” define the temperature range.

Step 3

Click on “ALERT” to create an notification on the desired value.

Step 4

Now the notification type and proprieties must be defined.

On this example we choose the following options:

  • Email Notification.
  • “For more than” - Activated with a value of 5 minutes. This way the temperature alert will trigger if the temperature is bigger than “100” for more than 5 minutes.
  • Custom Message.

Alert Scheduling

Here the user can define when this notification will work. Date ranges, days of the week and also specific times can be defined.

Notification Proprieties

  • Default - The message that will be sent is the default message.
  • Custom - The message that will be sent is a custom message.
  • Notify Users - Internally registered users who will be notified by email.
  • Notify External Emails - External people to be notified.
